How come the Chinese believe eating chicken, eggs, or seafood when sick will make things worse?
Q. Im Chinese and my mom always told me not to eat those things whenever Im sick or not feeling well without really saying why. Is that wrong? In western cultures, it is said that chicken noodle soup is the cure for many things so which am I suppose to believe? Any information about this Chinese belief or why chicken might be good for you would be of great help!

A. I am surprised to hear that. Couse they are actualy known as comfort foos. i cannot tell you why they believe that but this is what I got from the mayoclinic.com "Generations of parents have spooned chicken soup into their sick children. What are the Differences between the different Chinese languages?
Q. For example, I understand that there are many different types of Chinese language like Mandarin Chinese, Wu Chinese, Cantonese, Jin, Min and i was wondering, are there any large differences if not, differences at all between these languages. Are they very similar or are they very different? If possible, could you explain the similarities and Differences between these languages and how related they are to each other?

China Government had announce and admit those cantonese, wu, jin... all are same as mandarin is CHINESE !! i really don't understand why the people like "Elena S" always say those are not Chinese?! the only one can declare for what is the Chinese language, is the CHINA government and we (who are Chinese) ; not just by a Foreigner like you!!! whatever is your purpose of spread those Wrong info that separate Chinese.
